Piston Accumulators
All Hystat Piston Accumulators are manufactured in house and have been since 1976
Hydraulic Piston Accumulators are devices that can store a volume of fluid energy utilising a compressible gas, predominantly Nitrogen (Oxygen Free). The piston acts as the moveable barrier to separate the gas and liquid.
There are multiple applications for Piston Accumulators such as energy storage, pulsation dampening, shock absorption, shortening of response times, energy conservation, pressure compensation for thermal expansion/contraction, transfer barrier and many more.
Hystat manufacture a large range of Piston Accumulators with the following guidelines:
Volume Range | From 0.1 Litres to over 2,000 Litres |
Temperature Range | From -196°C to over 200°C (-321°F to +392°F) |
Typical Metallic | Various Carbon Steels, 316SS, Duplex, Super Duplex, 17/4, Inconel, Hastelloy |
Typical Elastomers | NBR, HNBR, VITON, FFKM, AFLAS, PTFE, PU, POM, PEEK |
Approvals | PED 2014/68/EU (CE), ASME U Stamp, DNV, ABS, LRQA, ABS, Australian, Canadian CRN, BV, NR13, ATEX 2014/34/EU, National Board |
Gas Connections | As per customer specification |
Fluid Connection | As per customer specification |
External Coatings | Marine, Offshore, Subsea, Industrial etc |
Hystat are able to offer various level indication option depending upon the requirement. Typically the level indication can include visual displays, 4-20mA level transmitters & proximity switches.
Level indication is available for topside and subsea applications in order to monitor internal volumes of nitrogen and fluid.
